Knitting 101

January 26 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

You’ve Always Wanted to Learn… Now’s the Time to Learn the Basics of Knitting with Knit-a-versity at Curate Mercantile in Centennial, CO.

You’ve always wanted to learn how to knit, so what are you waiting for?

Join Danielle, owner of Parker’s Knit-a-versity for her Knitting 101 workshop at Curate Mercantile in Centennial, Colorado on Wednesday, January 26th from 11 am to 1 pm. A dishcloth is the quintessential beginner project for knitting and that’s what you’ll make in this class. All materials will be provided for you to use and are included in the class fee.

Danielle will prepare a swatch on the needles for you to start with (it’s easier to learn when you have a little fabric to hold on to). Once you are feeling good about that, you’ll cast on the dishcloth. It’s knit corner to corner and gives the opportunity to learn basic increases and decreases. Our class size is small to encourage one-on-one attention for each attendee.

Please note that we are in Arapahoe County and are currently under a face mask mandate for all indoor public spaces.

Date: Wednesday, January 26th from 11 am to 1 pm

Price and Materials: Your $45 workshop fee includes all hands-on instruction and materials including needles, working swatch and yarn for the dishcloth. You will start this project in class and finish your dishcloth at home.

About Your Instructor: Danielle, owner of Knit-a-versity, has been knitting since 2005 when her grandmother taught her how to knit before she left for college. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned knitter, Danielle enjoys helping others expand their skills, I’m here to help. Check out www.curatemerantile.com under ‘events’ to see her other workshops at Curate Mercantile.

Cancellation Policy: Curate Mercantile workshops are built around solopreneurs, makers and small business owners. We are committed to offering you an amazing and fun experience, so we need your help to make our community work. Most events must meet an established minimum set by the workshop host to move forward. If the minimum is not met 72 hours in advance of the event start time, the event will be automatically canceled and all registered guests will be refunded to their original form of payment. You will be notified if this occurs.
